Competition Design
FCA Football Stadium, 2005, Augsburg, Germany.
This successful prestigious nationwide design competition was executed in collaboration with Bernhard & Kögl Architekten. The stadium has a capacity of 30,660 with 19,060 seats and standing room for 11,034 and was completed in 2009. A second phase of construction could expand capacity to 49,000 in the future.

The highlight of the value engineered design was lowering the 'bowl' of the arena into the ground thereby minimizing the façade area. By comparison the Allianz Arena in nearby Munich cost €340 million while this stadium cost €45 million.
